Psychologists, Psychotherapists, and Talking Therapies

Our psychological professions play a vital role in delivering evidence-based care to people across our wide range of adult and children’s mental health and learning disability services.

We have psychologists working in our specialist services including Community Forensics, Perinatal Mental Health, Eating Disorders and Psychiatric Liaison services and in a number of Psychology led services including Clinical Health Psychology, Maternal Mental Health, and Primary Care Mental Health.

As well as delivering day-to-day care as part of multi-disciplinary teams, our psychological professions are playing an increasingly central role in supporting the development of new and innovative care pathways as part of mental health community transformation and improving access to psychological therapies.

Our psychological professions also play a lead role in staff support and development across the Trust and the wider health and social care system. This includes leading on reflective practice programs, our staff support hub, staff incident support, trauma-informed care and a range of clinical training offers. We strongly support the professional development of our psychological profession’s workforce, with access to in-house and funded national clinical and leadership training programs, regular supervision, mentoring, and coaching for all grades.
