Patient Safety Partners

The Patient Safety Partner (PSP) is a new and exciting role developed by the NHS to help improve patient safety across all Trusts.

Here at Surrey and Borders Partnership, we are excited to have a team of four PSPs to work alongside our staff, people who use our services, their families and carers across the Trust.

What do Patient Safety Partners do?

Each PSP will be assigned to one of our four divisions:

  • Working Age Adults
  • Older Adults and Specialist Services
  • Learning Disability Services
  • Children and Young People's Services

Their role will include:

  • attending regular meetings and committees on safety
  • representing the views of the people who use our services, their careers, and members of the public
  • Working collaboratively with staff to identify problems and apply creative and innovative thinking in developing solutions
  • Supporting a culture of improvement by placing the people that use our services at the heart of all we do.
