Description
This course aims to raise awareness about the prevention and protection of vulnerable adults from abuse and identify possible causes. Identify the Safeguarding procedures and guidelines for interventions relating to the organisation. Refreshers should be carried out 3 yearly.
Course Objectives:
- Understand the current policy framework and procedures that apply to Safeguarding Adults
- Recognise signs and symptoms of different forms of abuse
- Know when and to whom suspected/actual abuse should be reported
- Understand the Trust's and their responisbilities for preventing harm/abuse and their duty to raise concerns about suspected/potential harm/abuse
- Understanding of the Independent Safeguarding Authority, the Vetting and Barring Scheme and Sexual Offences Act 2003
