KUF Delivery Model - Co-facilitation
The model for KUF delivery is based on authentic and equal co-facilitation with two trainers for all of the training programmes: one KUF Trainer with clinical or direct work experience within the personality disorder context; and one KUF Trainer with lived experience of personality difficulties.
KUF Awareness Online Training
The awareness level training is the foundation element of the Knowledge and Understanding Framework and provides students with the underpinning knowledge and understanding required to work more effectively with people with difficulties associated with a diagnosis of personality disorder.
KUF Online training is delivered using the KUF Virtual Venue which is a bespoke online platform featuring. The training involves facilitated and independent learning.
KUF 3 day Awareness Training
This training is for staff working with people with difficulties associated with a diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’ in a clinical role across all multi-agency settings (including mental health, social care and housing services). The training aims to support staff by:
Exploring different perspectives around personality difficulties
Dispelling myths around personality difficulties
Exploring different ways of understanding personality difficulties
Examining how someone’s past experiences can affect their present
Developing an understanding of how to work effectively with people with personality difficulties
Reflecting on different approaches to working with people with personality difficulties and the impact of reactions and responses
Exploring the impact of working with people with personality difficulties on the wider team.
