Course Description

Objectives

To be able to store, prepare and serve food safely. To understand the need to avoid cross contamination. To be able to prepare the different foods safely eg fresh, chilled and frozen. To understand the importance of proper temperature control throughout the food chain. To understand the legal requirements relating to food safely.

To give candidates a good understanding of all food hygiene matters which leads to a recognised examination of the Royal Society for Public Health which is accepted both nationally and internationally.

Audience

All staff undertaking tasks associated with the preparation, handling and cooking of food. Should have attended Induction Course of Trust that includes reference to food safety. Please contact Learning and Development on 01372 206351/352 if you have any mobility concerns regarding this venue.
